Today is Day 3 of my Whole30 Challenge. I'm still feeling pretty good. By the end of the day I am tired, and I have been going to bed earlier than normal, but no other real side effects to speak of.
Unless you count how I felt while running today. :( I kicked off my official training for the Pittsburgh Half Marathon this morning. I REALLY didn't want to. I had just gotten the kids off to school, and it was gray and foggy and wet outside. What I REALLY wanted to do was stay inside and curl up with some knitting or maybe a book. But, the fact that the temperature was pushing 60, and that I have been inactive for way way way too long, pushed me outside. I knew that my lack of regular exercise over the holidays was going to come back and bite me, and today was that day. The first mile wasn't too bad. But miles 2 and 3 just sucked. Thank goodness 3 miles was all that was on the schedule. It is definitely going to take some time to ramp back up to where I was before I let life and the crazy holiday hub-bub get in my way.
