Happy New Year!!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around the fact that it is 2016. That just doesn't seem right.
I spent all of December deeply embedded with friends and family and a list of things to do and places to go. It was a wonderful whirlwind of activity, and an exhausting one at that! As guilty as I felt at times for spending so much time away from working on my computer, it was a valuable trade off. Being present with the people I was with, and them knowing they had my full attention, was well worth it. :)
The break from technology also helped give me the space I needed to work on some new ideas for this year. I feel like I've been designing and re-designing this health program in my mind forever. But the urge to make sure it is PERFECT before I take the next step keeps me stuck in this loop. The fact that I'm aware of this makes it even worse! So, it's time to buckle down, give myself a deadline and then put it out there.
No, it won't be perfect. (Nor is there a PERFECT to be attained!) But I will learn from it, and improve it each time. So here's to 2016! The year of getting out of our own way, to make way for something better!
You can live a healthy lifestyle in the real world without giving up everything that makes you happy.
